Small Business Administration Offering Disaster Loans


WASHINGTON, DC (WEHT) The Small Business Administration (SBA) offers low-interest disaster loans to families and businesses in Kentucky that have been devastated by inclement weather.

“SBA’s Mission-Driven Team Ready to Help Small Businesses and Residents of Kentucky
affected by this disaster in every way possible under President Biden’s declaration of disaster
for some affected areas, ”said Isabella Casillas Guzman, administrator of the SBA. ” We commit ourselves
to provide federal disaster loans quickly and efficiently, with a client-centric approach to
help businesses and communities recover and rebuild.

This ad covers eight counties in western Kentucky, including Muhlenberg and Hopkins counties. Businesses and private nonprofits can borrow up to $ 2 million for repairs or replacements. Economic disaster assistance is also available whether the business has suffered physical damage or not. The filing of these loans is expected to be made by September 12, 2022.

Homeowners can borrow up to $ 200,000 for damaged or destroyed real estate. Personal home loans go up to $ 40,000. The deadline for submitting these is February 10, 2022.
