The Small Business Administration is hosting a webinar on Thursday, March 10 to help those affected by the December 10-11 tornado outbreak apply for disaster loans.

Deadline for eligible Kentuckians to apply for physical disaster loans It’s Monday, March 14. The deadline for eligible Tennesseans It’s Tuesday, March 15.

The SBA offers low-interest loans to businesses of all sizes, homeowners, tenants, and some private nonprofit organizations.

People who were affected by the tornadoes and severe weather on December 10 and 11 can attend the webinar to learn how to apply for these loans. Those affected by other recent natural disasters eligible for loans can also attend the free online event.

The SBA also offers economic injury loans to small businesses and most nonprofit organizations. No physical harm is required to apply for these loans. The deadline to apply for SBA Economic Injury Loans is September 12 for Kentuckians and October 14 for the Tennesseans.

The two states have different application deadlines because Tennessee’s disaster declaration was approved later than Kentucky’s.

In Kentucky alone, the SBA approved $44.5 million in long-term, low-interest loans for storm survivors from Dec. 10-11 through March 3.
