Small Business Administration encourages Alabamians to apply for disaster loans before February deadline

The Small Business Administration is encouraging businesses, homeowners and renters to apply for disaster loans before the Feb. 21 deadline. The SBA says anyone in Alabama counties who suffered damage from severe storms and flooding that occurred between Oct. 6 and Oct. 7, 2021, should apply for a disaster loan. The disaster declaration includes Jefferson and Shelby counties. Small businesses and most private nonprofit organizations in the following counties can only apply for EIDL SBAs. These include Bibb County, Blount County, Chilton County, Coosa County, Saint Clair County, Talladega County, Tuscaloosa County, and Walker County Alabama. 404-387-8716.
