Shamrock Trading Company invests in K-State College of Business Administration – KMAN Radio News


The Kansas State University Foundation announced Tuesday that Shamrock Trading Corporation, a leader in trucking logistics and the parent company of a family of brands in transportation services, finance and technology, has invested $1 million in the College of Business Administration.

The company’s investment will name Shamrock Student Success Suite and establish an endowment to support the National Strategic Selling Institute. The Overland Park-based company is a familiar company providing leadership gifts to K-State Athletics. The investment in the College of Business Administration is Shamrock’s first philanthropic gift to a K-State college.

The suite will allow undergraduate business students to access tutors, meet academic and professional advisors, work with peers, and identify and help achieve academic goals. The suite will also house the college’s diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging programs to build community and enhance cultural competency after graduation.

“Notable partners like Shamrock Trading Corporation investing in K-State are doing more than helping our university become the leading next-generation land-grant institution in the nation,” said K-State Chairman Richard Linton. “Shamrock’s substantial investment in student success helps the Wildcats grow as business innovators that propel Kansas forward.”

Shamrock, ranked in the top three of Kansas City’s “Best Places to Work” for six of the past seven years, has also invested in one of the best places in the country to learn strategic selling: the National Strategic Selling Institute in K-State. . K-State won first place in the 2021 Collegiate World Sales Cup.
