Las Vegas Business Academy Announces Allyson Bunker and Candace Davis-Martin as New Board Members


LAS VEGAS, NV – The Las Vegas Business Academy (LVBA) announces the addition of two new leaders to serve on the organization’s prestigious board of directors. Allyson Bunker, executive vice president of Payroll People Inc., and Candace Davis-Martin, general manager of entertainment at Station Casinos, LLC., Round out the 2021 list of academy Las Vegas notables.

The LVBA is a non-profit organization that provides scholarship, mentorship, and internship opportunities for qualified students pursuing a master’s degree at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). Each board member brings their unique flair to influence and further educate students beyond the classroom.

With over 25 years in the payroll and human capital management industry, Allyson Bunker is one of the most respected leaders in its industry. Bunker represented the payroll / human capital management industry at national meetings at the quarterly Reporting Agent Forum in Washington, DC on issues such as payroll taxes, W2 fraud, cybersecurity, 2020 W4, ACA, tips, etc. In this role, Bunker engages regularly with the IRS, the Social Security Administration and the Treasury.

Allyson continually keeps in mind her responsibility to the industry and the national customer base of Payroll People – participating in cutting edge educational workshops and volunteering when her peers ask her for sound advice.

Candace Davis-Martin is a senior executive with over two decades of entertainment and hospitality experience in domestic and international markets. She excels in talent recruitment, site programming, contract negotiations, event marketing and public relations with a proven track record of operational efficiency and revenue growth. She is also experienced in multi-site operations, start-up site management, new property openings, ownership transitions and global crisis operational management.

Davis is currently the General Manager of Entertainment for Station Casinos, LLC., Responsible for the complete oversight of all entertainment activations within the Station Casino business. She hopes to bring her vast experience to the Las Vegas Business Academy.

Allyson and Candace are excited to be working with the Las Vegas Business Academy and aim to help and mentor students in the pursuit of their goals using their in-depth knowledge and expertise.


The Las Vegas Business Academy (LVBA) is a non-profit organization formed and dedicated to the enrichment, development, involvement, and financial support of college graduates pursuing master’s degree studies. The LVBA aims to do this by offering scholarships, mentoring, and internship opportunities to qualified students pursuing a master’s degree at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. The LVBA is made up of board members representing a variety of industries across the city. With such a group of leaders, the students selected to participate in the program are exposed to a rich variety of businesses and experiences.
