The House Oversight and Reform Subcommittee on Reform and Government Operations announced the witness list for the FITARA 12.0 hearing on July 28. Federal CIO Clare Martorana tops the list of four witnesses, according to a communicated today by the committee.
Martorana will be joined by Keith Bluestein and Sean Brune, CIO for Small Business Administration and Social Security Administration respectively. Carol Harris, director of IT and cybersecurity for the Government Accountability Office, will also serve as a witness at the hearing.
The audience will discuss the FITARA 12.0 dashboard, as well as the IT priorities of the Biden administration. Among the topics on the agenda is how the administration will administer the billion dollars allocated to the Technological Modernization Fund (TMF) by the US bailout adopted in March.
Subcommittee Chairman Rep. Gerry Connolly, D-Va., Reported at the FITARA 11.0 hearing in April that TMF could be a topic of discussion. Today’s press release confirms that TMF is of interest to the committee. The TMF Board of Directors is currently working on funding offers and has changed the repayment terms for any funding administered through the TMF program.
The hearing will also consider potential future changes to the FITARA scorecard, as well as any laws and policies that currently affect the federal IT mission. The hearing will take place on July 28 at 2 p.m. Stay tuned to MeriTalk for more in-depth scorecard and audience coverage.
