The Associate of Applied Science in Business Administration (AAS) is accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business School Programs (ACBSP).

This program is partially transferable to Eastern New Mexico University Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences Online. It is also partially transferable to the University of New Mexico and the University of the Highlands of New Mexico.

CNM’s School of Business and Information Technology offers an accelerated Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Business Administration that you can earn in less than two years.

The program has been designed and is taught by highly qualified faculty from the School of Business and Information Technology who also have industry work experience. This program was designed for working professionals whose days demand time and attention for work, family and other obligations.

Courses in this program are offered in blocks of 7 weeks: two blocks per term and a summer block of 7 to 12 weeks. This accelerated process for obtaining your diploma is facilitated by taking courses in the evening and online.

Please note: The Fast Track program for Fall 2022 will offer two classes per week in person (face-to-face). If there are schedule changes due to COVID-19, the program will contact students to let them know.

Cost

The tuition fee for the accelerated business administration program is $8,999.00. This is a flat rate that fully covers the duration of the program.

Financial aid

Fill out a Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) and contact a CNM Financial Aid advisor. We accept all forms of federal and state financial aid, including Pell grants and student loans. We also accept the following payment methods:

Admission and Application Requirements

  1. Apply to CNM
    Submit official transcripts from all previous colleges you attended.
  2. Take the Accuplacer test for proper placement for college-level courses.
    If you have taken the Accuplacer within the past five years, these scores may be considered for accurate placement. Accuplacer exams can be taken at any CNM testing center.
    • Read and write requirement
      • Reading score = 257 or more WHERE WritePlacer score = 6 or more
    • Math requirement
      • Quantitative reasoning score = 234 or higher WHERE Arithmetic score = 264 or more
  3. Apply in the Fast-Track BA program
    You must submit this separate online application with a personal statement from the participant.

The Participation Test is used in part to determine eligibility for program acceptance. You should discuss your background, current work experience, and goals (what motivates you to get involved in this accelerated program) in a paragraph essay format.

Information sessions

We strongly encourages invites you to attend an information session to learn more or ask questions about the program structure, application process, financial aid, or any other questions you may have. Sessions usually take place on Tuesdays at noon and Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m.

Class schedule

Classes are held two evenings a week from 5:30 p.m. to 8:20 p.m. and also include online assignments. For Fall 2022, we will have two in-person (face-to-face) classes and one online class. Both in-person and online classes are mandatory for the program.
